Whoa. What a week/weekend O_O
So first off, I had a lovely night out at the Flicks/downtown last week, which unfortunately ended with a bike wreck and the loss of my wallet. The bike wreck wasn't too bad, thankfully -- I was wearing my helmet, but I only scraped up my arm and hip a bit (although I'm still pretty bruised & sore). The wallet had a few sentimental things in t, so that sucked to lose -- but I managed to get most of the important cards/such replaced before we went out of town this weekend.
Friday we headed to the northern wilds of our fair state for family reunion shenanigans, which were delightful. It was really good to see that (my Mom's) side of the family -- my aunt Kathy(Cathy? Damn >_<) helped me break some rules, we played at a water park with the kids, drank things in hot tubs, had some awesome family sing alongs, rode a giant gondola (well, I passed on the gondola)... just all kinds of good times. I wish we could have stayed a few more days in between all the driving -- and I still wish I'd gotten to catch up with more people, but there were a lot of folks to talk to as well as a lot going on, so it can't be helped, I suppose.
Been kind of bummed out since we got back -- at first I was attributing it to social overload, but I had some time to hang out on my own yesterday & I'm still dragging a bit. I got a little drawing done, but the house is a mess and I just keep looking at it, getting fed up, and jumping back into the book I'm reading -- as though ignoring it will somehow help. Good book, though, to be fair.
Today I had a very nice lunch, followed by AWESOME hangouts, mellowed by a bit of disappointment later -- all different situations, but the day's been kind of a strange wave overall -- and in that weird introspective kinda way, it's currently being brought up a bit by the storm outside; daaaaaaaaaaaamn! It's coming down out there. O____O
