Montezuma to Tripoli (oh man, oh my, oh me)

Hello hello!
It's been a  little while -- I was sick this week, so I didn't do a whole lot...but today I got pumped (as the kids say) and got a whole bunch of stuff done. I think sleep deprivation helped somehow, because sleep...didn't really happen last night.

I've been drawing some more stuff here and there for Retsupurae, and for Supergreatfriend's delightful Saturday Stram crowd -- the latter in conjunction with the wonderfully talented Arlowa, who takes my crude lineart and works fantastic wizardry upon it. BEHOOOOLD!

This one I colored, and I think it turned out funny, if decidedly less magical:

I also re-did an old dinosaur comic, because the apatosaurus looked dumb in the first version :/

So, there you have...all those things!

In more boring news, I'm getting my healthcare crap lined out, and applying for a second job as a grocery checker... it's really close to my first job, and if I can get an employee discount on groceries AND books, then I think I'll be pretty set. Cross your fingers for me, because one retail job just isn't cutting it, frankly, and I dream of someday becoming a real grown-up who doesn't have to worry about rent from month to month. (HA-HAAAaaaa)

Did you know there is a show about Wizard Lawyers? Because I am not even kidding.

These two books from the Library! are really good so far. I need to add them to my wishlist, but it's too vast and incomprehensible, by which I mean it is a box stuffed full of ISBNs on scraps of paper. That is how the book addict do.

In dearth or in excess,
both the slave
and the empress
will return to the dirt, I guess,
naked as when they came
(I wonder if I'll see any faces above me
or just cracks in the ceiling) --
nobody else to blame.
